The Mill School

School Profile

The Mill School is an independent, Co-educational preparatory day school for children aged 3-11 years. Established in 1958, the school is contained largely in an eighteenth century water-mill, itself traceable to the Domesday Book. Set in its own four acres of grounds, amidst beautiful countryside, the school is ideally situated away from all traffic to enable children to develop a love and understanding of the countryside.

The Mill School aims to provide the widest possible education where self-motivation and self-awareness are two essential elements from the earliest stages. Academic work is encouraged throughout the school and teaching methods combine the best of traditional values with contemporary methods. It is the aim of the school to educate the children in such a way that they leave as happy, self-confident well-mannered young people.

The new Nursery, Millipedes, opened September 2008.

Come along and see for yourself, our school is a happy school and you will be made very welcome.
